Holland Knockout Brazil (2 - 1)

Brazil have been eliminated from the World Cup by the Dutch. Netherlands staged a wonderful comeback as they were behind by a goal by Robinho thanks to a superb pass by Felipe Melo through the centre of the pitch and the Santos star calmly placed the ball past the keeper to make it 1-0 for Brazil. The first half ended like that with Brazil on top, but the Dutch started the second half
with attacking intentions and soon after leveled the score in the 50th minute as Wesley Sneijder sent in a dangerous cross from the right and midfielder Felipe Melo headed the ball in his own net after shot stopper Julio Cesar missed his clearance. Then in the 67th minute the Dutch took the lead as Robben sent in a great corner kick for Kuyt, who flicked the ball on for Sneijder and the unmarked Inter star headed home from close range.
Things went from bad to worse for the Selecao only minutes after the 2-1. Robben went past Felipe Melo and the Juventus midfielder cynically fouled the winger before kicking out at him again after the referee's whistle, leaving the ref no other option but to show Melo the red card. The match ended at 2-1 for the Dutch.
